This cemetery was begun as a family cemetery on the San Pedro Ranch in the early 1900's . It is not known who owned the land. Cleo Wood owned the land just west of the cemetery.
Jesus and Rafaela Rodriguez, Chuey Rodriguez' grandparents, are among the first people buried here. For a number of years, permission to bury in this cemetery was given by Victor Rodriguez, Chuey Rodriguez' father. Victor and his family are buried in the southwest part of the cemetery.
Many family members of Antonio Rodriguez, of Santa Rosa, are buried in the northwest corner of the cemetery .
There are 18 unmarked graves on the north side of the cemetery .
Last Person Buried
The last person buried in this cemetery with a marker is Antonio Perez. He died 15 December 1957. The oldest person buried here is Sebastian Vasquez, born 10 March 1830 and died 31 January 1943.
Caretaker
The cemetery is mowed about once a year by the Antonio Rodriguez family.
