THE GREAT KISKADEE
The great kiskadee, once known as the kiskadee flycatcher and casually as the "derby flycatcher", resides in South Texas. The great kiskadee is one of the specialty species of the Lower Valley. This species crosses the U.S. border only in the lower Rio Grande Valley and migrates occasionally as far as the Big Bend region and the central coast.
