According to all the field guide books, the Great Kiskadee can be found from South Texas to Argentina. It is a year-long resident of the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas but occasionally can be found in Laredo, Beeville, and Rockport. Its habitat includes stream side thickets, groves, orchards, wet woodlands and towns according to the Field Guides of Peterson and National Geographic Society. I've even seen them at deer leases in the Valley.
