Kiskadees eat insects and small fish and HOT PEPPERS! One day as we sat looking out the window, we spotted one of our Kiskadees perched on a line above a chili pepin plant. The bush was covered in red & green small peppers. As we watched, the Kiskadee swooped down to a bench adjacent to the bush and commenced eating the peppers. We were astonished for we had been told at a bird specialty shop in Corpus Christi that Kiskadees ate only insects & fish. As of then, we keep chili plants all around the yard, and all the neighborhood Kiskadees eat from them.
