The Kingfisher's family name is Alcedinidae. In Greek mythology, the daughter of the God of wind is Alcyone. Alcyone threw herself into the sea because she finds out her husband dies in a shipwreck. It is said that both of them turn into Kingfishers, and together they roam the sea.
